icons, toolbar, and start menu disappearing...with all new CTRL-ALT-DEL not working
Morning,
On Friday I came home to find the computer was only displaying the desktop background. No icons taskbar or anything, CTRL-ALT-DEL makes the Desktop backgorund disappear for a few minutes but no task manager.
Could start it in Safe mode.
Lost patience with the whole affair and re-installed Vista from back up disks I'd created when I bought computer.
Now, I left the computer on over the last couple of nights to download all the WOW updates and each morning I've come back to find it just showing the wallpaper and no icons, taskbar, etc. I now have a mouse icon and can right click and access a menu but CTRL-ALT-DEL still doesn't work
Can't seem to find this problem with the CTRL-ALT-DEL issue anywhere else.
Does anyone have any ideas or am I going to have to charter a plane to Remond to punch Bill Gates in the face?

Sorry mate. Missed a bit of pertinent info out. I find it without icons, etc in the morning but a hard reboot causes Vista to load normally each time.

Not letting me PM. Do you know what's causing the icons, etc to disappear?
