Exclamation No connectivity to Internet?
I have been having trouble with connecting to my internet on my laptop recently.
There is a yellow caution sign where it says I have limited to no connectivity.

I tried the command prompt ipconfig/release and renew
but it has not resolved my problem.
I had progress where I've went to Device Manager/Network Adapter/Arethos/Properties/Advanced/Network Address and clicked Value and check marked that and typed in my Physical address and save.
Where the caution sign left, but I still had no connection.
I've tried unplugging my router/modem and resetting my router, but still no luck.
And I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling my Arethos AR5007 wi fi adapter, but I haven't gotten the yellow sign with the exclamation point to go away.
I have a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router.
The model number is WRT54GS.

My laptop is a windows vista home premium.
presario C700
It is 1 and a half years old.

Have you tried setting up the TCP/IP? Change the ip from automatic to one of your choice, better be a class c ip.

Can you connect successfully by ethernet?

Disable encryption on the router and try to connect that way. If successful you can probably re-enable encryption and reconnect. If unsuccessful please show ...

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:
(For Vista or 7 type CMD in the Search box after Start)

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.
