Windows 7 EASYNOTE R1938 Wireless Problem
I've installed the Win7 beta on my EASYNOTE R1938. I installed the drivers for the machine from the Packard Bell website.

Unfortunately, even with "excellent" wireless connectivity, i can only get "limited access" to the internet. At the moment I am running through an ethernet connection, but I want to get the wireless working.
I have tried to run 7's own diagnostic and repair program which didn't help.

I'm sorry, no, that's all very basic stuff that I already know. I have set up wireless networks before.

Have you installed Win 7 drivers for this device from the OEM?
If there are no Win7 drivers, try the Vista ones.

There are no Vista specific or Win7 specific drivers for this machine, all the drivers on the Packard Bell site are XP-specific.

Then you are NOT going to get what you want. A lot of the "Generic" drivers that come with Vista and Windows 7 are NOT complete. They just provide the "Basic" needs and do not perform 100%.

Sounds like the OEM will NOT support Vista or Windows 7 for this machine.

Oh well, everything else works well, I'll just use a wireless dongle.
