Hello,
I have a problem with my computer that I urgently need solved. Whenever I open a USB drive, open up my computer, or open anything that is a folder, windows explorer freezes up on me. The only way I can open the folder or whatever I'm opening is if I leave the folder loading for about an hour which is very rediculous.
I have been having this problem for a few weeks, and it caused me to reinstall windows vista. When I first installed it, my computer was very fast. I could open everything up with no problems. I installed all my games and software and was online, then I went to open up a file I had on a flash drive, and then BOOM. It happened again. Now, I can't open anything up.
I have 2 gigs of ram and my processor is an AMD Athlon 64 x2 4000+. It is definitely not a virus or anything since I did a clean reinstall of vista. In my computer, I here a ticking noise and I don't know where it is coming from. I don't know if that may be the problem.
Can anyone please walk me through solving this? I need to get on my computer since I am part of an indie game development team, and we need to get this game finished in under two months.
Thanks,
Mike
*EDIT*
My computer is only using 10% of the CPU and under a gig of my ram.
