Solved: C++ runtime error at startup
Hi,
Whenever I try to startup vista I get a the following message during the loading screen:
Microsoft visual c++ runtime
BLANK (=> nothings there, no path whatsoever)
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

I can get it to start in safemode, but i'd rather have it in normal mode.

Could someone please help me! Thanks.

While in safe mode use MSCONFIG to remove "startup" entries from the list, do them one at a time and restart in regular mode, when it boots without the error, you have found the program that is causing this. A process of elimination.

Thanks for the tip. But will safemode show all the programs that it would run in normal mode?

I tried it and it doesn't work. I even turned every program off and it still wouldn't start.

Sounds like a possible Malware infection

Go to this board, read the first "Sticky" at the top very carefully, then post your HJ log on that board for expert help.
