Exclamation Help!!!! windows isnt working!
well, first of all, windows started to download 3 updates, and afterward it asked me to restart, and i did. after windows restarted, it configured 2/3 of the updates (they were vista updates) but, once it got to the third one (something for an apparently important program that windows needed to run right) didnt get past 0% for half an hour or more. then i shut down my com again, started it normally, and it still didnt get past 0% for around an hour this time. then i shut it down again, started it in safe mode, restarted it, and tried to go in normal mode. it went to the login/password screen, and i typed my password in. but when i hit enter nothing happened. then i hit the (>) button next to the password thing, and still nothing happened. next i clicked the red button to try to shut it off Again but then the screen froze... so i had to manually shut it down, and when i turned it back on, i tried starting it again, same thing with the enter and (>) not working, but i clicked the up arrow to try to restart instead of shutting down, again it froze, so shut it down and started it in safe mode, did a virus scan, and tried it again, and it still didnt work for the same reason. the same things happened even after i reverted two days back in time and did a memory scan or whatever its called, and it still didnt work. then i didnt get on it fora whole day hopping that it had just been on too long... but it didnt work. im posting this while on safe mode on my laptop. Help please!

Edit: i downloaded ResHacker before this happened, but around an hour and a half or two hours before this happened. i dont think this was part of the problem, because i scanned it for viruses in safemode on the reshacker file and it came up clean. if u dont know what reshacker is, dont say it could be part of the problem.

Do a system restore, pick a date before the reshacker and MS updates installed
