Vista Premium wireless/firewall problems
right so im new to this Vista OS its suposed to be easier to use than xp right? ...........Wrong its still XP accept it has been hit by a car and left cripled by the most ridiculous security settings ever and brain damaged with the dumbing down of every control action. So rant over heres the problem when i try to connect to my wireless internet via my laptop it will connect with the router but the windows firewall will block the incoming signal from the modem to the router preventing me accessing the internet. Now when i was using XP on my brothers laptop i had the same problem i solved this by entering in my network config manualy (ip address, default router, subnet mask, gateway etc) Vista dosent seem to have this option? if it dose i cant find it? the only way to solve the problem is to disable the firewall completely and i dont feel safe online without it. i would be eternaly gratefull for any ideas on solving this problem. (ps. i used my ps3 to post this thread no problems with my ps3 internent god i love my ps3)
