Unhappy Nvidia GeForce 8400M GT... VISTA HELP REQUIRED!
Hello...
I have Vista on my laptop, and when I first checked, I had a [Nvidia GeForce8400M GT] Graphics Card... I have done nothing wrong, and windows have changed it to a Standard VGA Graphics Adapter.
I installed a piece of software (after the incident) and that discovered what my graphics adapter/card was... Why can't Windows.. I have ran DXDiag and all solutions like that... Is there anywhere to download a [Nvidia GeForce 8400M GT] for VISTA - Vista Only... Or a solution???

Hello Joeyc2410,

Have you tried to automatically update the driver using "Update Driver Software" in the Device Manager? or tried downloading the latest driver from the nVIDIA website?

You could give Forceware drivers a bash if you're really struggling, but there really shouldn't be a need.

Hello Joeyc2410,

I wasn't aware that particular model was not compatible with Vista. That's interesting to know. Turns out using some nVIDIA Forceware drivers may be a good idea though.

Goodluck!
