Arrow Windows Explorer Has Stopped Working
I have a windows vista and about a week ago, the error message, "windows explorer has stopped working" popped up right after I logged into my laptop. It said something about checking for a solution. I got impatient and pressed cancel, and then it said "windows is restarting". I forgot why, but I closed that out and that was it. I'm not sure if I should restart it, since I closed the window that restarts it, but I want to know if CLOSING that window will cause prob;ems in the future, even though my computer is working okay (except for it running a tad slower).

Can be several different causes.

1. Malware or infection of some sort

2. Bad hardware like a CD/DVD drive, or other hardware that shows up in windows explorer.

Sounds like a possible Malware infection

Go to this board, read the first "Sticky" at the top very carefully, then post your HJ log on that board for expert help.
