Solved: Error 1719 Using VISTA professional
There is a game I want to remove from my son's computer called Construction Destruction. He "did domething" and now the Uninstall for the program doesn't work. I cannot boot up the computer unless it is in Safe Mode.
I tried to uninstall in Safe Mode but it still comes up with the error 1719 thing.
I cannot access the internet from Safe Mode so I cannot really download anything unless I do it from another computer and install in this one. Is there a utility available that can help me with this mess?
thanks for the help in advance!

The computer is pretty new and we have not yet created a system restore point. Trying to do it now it shows exactly that, no restore point available.
How can I get it back to factory settings?

hi you should have a recovery partition if you have the manual check it for the key or combo of keys to use on boot, alternately post your exact make and model and we will try to help find the sequence, you will need to get all your updates redone as will any other stuff you installed

I did the F8 deal and am currently busy doing the system restore through safe mode. I did make a backup of my data but it also included the bad program. I'll just have to reload the data when this is complete but will need to be careful not to include the bad bit.
I'll do a windows update when this is done.
Thanks for the help so far. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Joeten,

just to give you feedback. I got the computer alive again, now I need to reload all the programs I had before like office and some of his science stuff. No need to say I'm not impressed but what's done is done. I will create a restore point immediately after loading all the necessary programs and OS updates. Thanks for you help, I appreciate it.
