Windows 7 Professional Choppy System Sound?
Title pretty much explains it, running an iMac with 7 on it, found all my drivers pretty easily, using a realtek HD audio driver. I had the same type of driver on vista and this problem did not exist, and it cannot be a virus or other type of mallicious software since my drive was JUST reformatted. Thanks in advance guys.

Is this driver really a Windows 7 driver for this brand of hardware or is it a Windows 7 Generic driver for this hardware?

It's an authentic Windows 7 Driver that I got from Realtek's home page (though the website is incredibly poorly designed). I am running 32 bit and allow me to say again that it is ONLY the system sounds that come out like this. It's hard to explain, the actual noise comes through but theres always a choppy, low quality, feed-backish echo.

I also Experience this to some extent.

But with mine, any sound can get a crackle sound, as though the speakers are shot, but it doesn't do this on Vista.

I'd have to blame a driver for that, did you get the right brand/bit/version of the driver? I'm pretty sure my problem doesn't relate to my driver at all seeing as only system sounds are effected

The problem is, all the driver work was done by 7, and I also dont know the brand of these speakers.

Also, have you tried changing the sound theme in 7? It might just be that one theme that sounds bad.
