Today when I returned home my computer was frozen solid. No sound, but frozen. Also, i'm not sure if this is relevant, but when I plug in certain peripherals, I can actually hear them being used through my speakers. It isn't very loud but for example when I plug in my Zune, I hear the Hard drive spin up through the speakers and there are a few beeps. Nothing to worry about really, just somewhat annoying.

I have gone through the logs numerous times after these freezes. Usually in the event the computer has frozen while I am away, I record the time last showed on the clock in the corner of the screen and scour event viewer for events at that time. But my search usually never shows anything out of the ordinary. The only recurring errors in my event viewer are:
Code:
Activation context generation failed for "c:\program files (x86)\windows live\photo gallery\MovieMaker.Exe".Error in manifest or policy file "c:\program files (x86)\windows live\photo gallery\WLMFDS.DLL" on line 8. Component identity found in manifest does not match the identity of the component requested. Reference is WLMFDS,processorArchitecture="AMD64",type="win32",version="1.0.0.1". Definition is WLMFDS,processorArchitecture="x86",type="win32",version="1.0.0.1". Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.
---A side by side error. I have 3 of these occur in a row numerous times, each is different. I will post the rest as well.

Code:
Activation context generation failed for "c:\program files (x86)\microsoft\search enhancement pack\search helper\sepsearchhelperie.dll".Error in manifest or policy file "c:\program files (x86)\microsoft\search enhancement pack\search helper\sepsearchhelperie.dll" on line 2. Invalid Xml syntax.
Code:
Activation context generation failed for "c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe AIR\Versions\1.0\Adobe AIR.dll".Error in manifest or policy file "c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe AIR\Versions\1.0\Adobe AIR.dll" on line 3. The value "MAJOR_VERSION.MINOR_VERSION.BUILD_NUMBER_MAJOR.BUILD_NUMBER_MINOR" of attribute "version" in element "assemblyIdentity" is invalid.

and this one here:
Code:
Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.
And this one happens fairly often as well:
Code:
The SjyPkt service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

Hi well as you have seen you have problems with windows live I can only suggest you remove it from programs and features you can reinstall
as to the adobe same scenario, your two other issue I would try running sfc /scannow I will ask someone else here to look at this as it is not a field where I can claim expertise only some knowledge

Ok I have tried to get some info on the SJYpacket service but have found little to enlighten either of us http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...t+service&meta= as you can see not much to base anything on,I have asked someone to look in and see if they have a bit more they can advise on, I'am afraid we will have to wait untill then and see if that can see us move on
