Crashing Issue
Hello there

I really need help with my laptop. I've searched online for an answer to no avail and it's driving me insane.

I've got a Dell Inspiron 1525, which I bought last November. For the past couple of months it has been regularly crashing for no apparent reason. Basically it can be running happily and then suddenly the program I am using stops working. For a few seconds I can switch between programs, but then everything stops and the cursor won't move any more.

Ctrl alt del doesn't do anything and the only way to sort it out is to hold the off button to reset. Otherwise it just stays on for good.

When I restart it sometimes goes through a lengthy disk checking process prior to Vista firing up. Sometimes it doesn't do this, but just takes ages to load up.

It can do this every hour or so, or sometimes it won't happen for a couple of days. It is obviously a massive inconvenience though.

Do you have any ideas?
