Hi guys,

I have purchased and downloaded windows 7 professional upgrade online on my laptop. recently, I have built a new pc, but didn't install an OS yet.

Since it is not available for another week or so, how did you purchase the upgrade?

If it is an oem type and not a retail version of windows, you are limited to the original hardware ie what hardware the original os came on.
