My new Graphics card...help please!!!
ok so I have a Slimelime s5120f AMD 775 Duo Core 2.70 GHz with 4gig ram and is a 64-bit Vista with a on board graphics card built in it's a ( Nivida Geforce 6150SE nforce 430 ) and when I try to install this new card which is a ( Sparkle Low End Geforce 9500 GT ) my computer wont pic it up at all.
I managed to install it like a month ago this when I arranged my room and unplugged everthing when I plug in everthing and tun it on the DVI that's hooked up to my TV isn't working now but the old on board Graphics card is now working even though I unintalled it and restarted my computer.
My question is why when I plugged everthing back in did my computer revert back to the OLD onboard Graphics card and my new one is not working now???
and how can I fix it??
oh I can still use my computer it's just that NOW Im using my old Graphics card not my new one.

i guess you should have posted this under hardware, but anyway...
what psu are u using? I know that 9500gt does not require special psu's but still, one of my friends had a similar issue.. but when she swapped psu with me, she could get it up n running..
and... u sure that u plugged in the dvi cable in ur card and not to the motherboard?

the PSU is what ever came with the factory install i think it's 220 watts .....what happend was I did install it like a month ago mabye two and rearanged my whole bedroom unplugged everthing and when I plugged everthing back up again my DVI port wasn't showing anything on the screen and my VGA was working again lol so I have no Idea what's going on.
I can hear the card working cause the fan on that card is louder then my whole computer.
when I insert the Installation CD of the Sparkle Nividia Geforce 9500 GT low end card there is a option on there to read my computer's spec and when I try that it says ( performed a unexpected operation was attempted ) and the disks stops working.
I follow the instructions very precised and still nothing??

hmm. unplug the card, clean up the edges with an eraser. Then plug it back in. Uninstall the drivers, then remove the traces of the old drivers using driver sweeper.. use safe mode to do this. Then download the latest drivers for your card n install em.. guess its 190.xx. this should work.. else, time to redeem your warranty.. :-p
