Solved: Toshia laptop / have to burn my own install disk?
Picked up a low-end Toshiba (celeron 900), have not opened it yet.
Maybe been too long since I have bought a pre-built PC, but sales guy tells me that the laptop does not come with an install CD. It has WIN 7 pre-installed, and he tells me I will be prompted to burn install disks when I first boot.

One of the first things I do is wipe the hard drive to get ride of all the extra crap that is often installed from factory.

Probably being paranoid here, but if I am burning an install CD from the original factory OS installation, will it have all the crap, demos, "free" anti-virus etc., or will it be a clean WIN 7 install disk?

Thanks for any help.

It will have everything that was originally installed
on the computer.
I haven't seen windows 7 yet,so I don't know if it has
the backup utility like vista.
If it does, then uninstall all unneeded programs and
make a backup of the system.

Thank You.

So would you think this is an installation disk, or just an image of the hard drive that is restored?

Thanks for the help.

It's just a restore image.
