Issue with AppData
I have been having trouble with what seems like an issue with my AppData folder. My firefox displayed a message stating "Could not initialize the application's security document" and it stopped displaying bookmarks and history. I restarted my computer after backing up my bookmarks.
I received a message as my desktop appeared saying that the application has failed to start. I then get a message saying my ati catalyst control center has failed.
I have since reinstalled firefox and catalyst control center and the drivers a couple times and have left ccc off completely. I ran an error check on my drive. I still fail to open my firefox bookmarks and history and I receive that same error message at start.

So before this had all happened I was installing various games and alcohol 120%. After a couple failed installs I had to go through and delete some files and it is possible i accidentaly deleted something somewhere I shouldnt have. The deffinite last thing I did before I noticed the issues I described earlier, was install a patch on mechwarrior 4. I have uninstalled that game since.

I have vista 64 btw.
