Solved: FaiFadet colour on Vista

Hi My daughter has an (Acer) vista home edition. It is one year old. Yesterday when she logged on the colour on desktop was fine then within 1minute the colour faded like it became transparent, have tried every thing I know off to fix but after the 1 minute it goes again can someone help with this pleasThanks genie
