missing bootmgr with other issues Long story need HELP
Long Story: I will try to capture the basic problem i am having at the start then i will fill in the details at the bottom.

missing Bootmgr... Computer will not boot from DVD... DVD works... Bios set correctly...

Long Story: Our Computer was filled with garbage from the kids... I went to wipe it out XP with VISTA... discovered that the system would not boot from the DVD... troubleshot the Bios for days... Solution pull HD install as a "E" drive in another computer boot Vista in other computer, partition "E" install... Worked just fine on other computer... reinstalled HD in old Computer... missing bootMGR... I have pulled the power off HD computer starts from DVD. checked Bios 50 times saved still not booting from DVD. prior to changing the HD to the other computer i could run the vistaDVD but the HD was too full to handle the temp files, so a complete boot from DVD was required, i think...

Any ideas would be great...

Still need help
Joeten thanks for the link, i have researched many of the M/S reference site all off them reference booting form the DVD drive. The computer will not boot from the DVD drive. the bios and setting have been reset 10,000 times and it just wont boot from the DVD drive. I was hoping someone would say put the drive back in the other computer and do it again but make sure * is located on the e drive.

Yes i have changed the sequence/order checked / unchecked in bios. it is very bizzare that the CD/DVD operated inside windows but not as a bootable drive, when the hard drive is plugged in... I have also changed the connection cable from first to second back and forth. in bios when setting it on Auto it reads the CD/DVD drive set on 0...

Any other idea would be great...
