Windows vista Activation
I have a real copy of Windows Vista, but the sticker on the base of my laptop is damaged, meaning I cant read the activation key. This would not really be a problem, but like an idiot I waited too long and now the only way I can accsess the coputer is in reduced functionality mode. I really need some files in my documents which I cannot accsess in this mode, which is really annoying. Is there a way to access my documents in reduced functionality mode, so I can put them on a flash drive and re-install windows?

Have you tried the manufacturer or builder? If you can give them the serial number, they usually will try to help if it is still in warranty.

You can try Belarc Advisor (www.belarc.com/free_download.html)if you can access the internet. If you can, download and install it and run the program. That will give you the license numbers and keys for all the software installed on your computer and it will also advise you of any missing updates from Microsoft. Be advised that this program is for personal use only.
