Unhappy Solved: downloads stop downloading and streaming videos stop streaming
My system is vista 32 bit basic. downloads all of the suddon hang now and stop downloading and any streaming content like youtube also do this. i have uninstalled flash reinstalled it and tried both internet explorer and firefox when i use firefox to download the downloads finish.downloads finish with any download manager but streaming music/video stops buffering on both browsers.not sure if this matters but i have cox highspeed internet and other internet stuff has went fine.also i cant be sure if it caused it but i recently updated avg 8 to avg 9.my other computer isnt hooked up so i havent got a chance to check if this happens on both computers i really need help as i work on my computers and have to download documents alot and i also really like to play free games and watch streaming content. Downloads from ______? Windows updates? Your anti virus?

Streaming media? Audio? Audio & Video?

Which FF?

Uninstalled Flash, or used the Flash remover? Which Flash was running most recently?

Which Linksys router? Model, model #, HW version, FW version please.

What happens if you connect directly to your Cox modem?

Are you connecting via ethernet, or wirelessly? If wi fi, 802.11 b or c or g or n? If wi fi, which encryption strength? If wi fi, and not encrypted, others may be using your connection.

Go to www.dslreports.com/speedtest .
Report your upload and download speeds.

Contact Cox tech support. The problem might be on their end.

No offense intended here.

BUT, free games can be a source of malware. Malware will slow your computer.

Please provide:
HDD speed [ rpms ], capacity, amount free.
RAM / Memory
CPU information.
Brand, model, model # of PC if OEM.
Motherboard if not OEM.
Product information page of PC if OEM, or motherboard if not OEM.

Go to www.atribune.org . Download & run ATF cleaner.

Turn off PC.

Reboot after 3 minutes.
