Windows Defender Not Updating
Hi,

I've been trying to update windows defender but i keep getting the following message:

Error found: Code 0x80070643

Thanks for that.

It's just i would love to uninstall the program but i'm using Vista and it won't let me.

im pretty sure you can disable defender on vista, try:
Start>Windows Defender>Tools>Options
under the administrator options clear the 'Use Windows Defender' check box and then click save. Make sure you have AV/FW before doing this.

***YOU WILL NEED ADMINISTRATIVE PRIVELAGES TO PERFORM THIS TASK***

As i stated, i would strongly recommend you have an up to date anti-vrus and firewall that are active before doing this.

I agree. Disable Windows Defender and then install and use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.41 and SUPERAntiSpyware 4.29.0.1004 in its place. They do a much better job and are very user-friendly.
