Shutdown/Internet Issues
Whenever I try to log off or shut down, my laptop just stays on the blue screen that says logging off... so long that I just have to force shutdown my laptop. Also whenever I start my laptop, the internet simply will not connect...not via ethernet or wirelessly (I have to start my laptop in safe mode and then restart again for the internet to work properly). Could this be a virus causing it or something (even though my anti-virus hasn't picked anything up)?

oh and another thing I've noticed only recently is that my task manager doesn't show up (it'll show in the taskbar but the actual window doesn't pop up)

Hi from the thumbnail you provided the issue is mcafee, please look in C:\windows\minindumps.and copy the most recent to a folder call it minidmp or some such and attach to your next post, use the go advanced button and then the paper clip icon to attach and upload with your next post, this will allow someone here to look it over and see if there is any other issue,in the meantime I would remove mcafee and replace with one of the free av programs and turn on windows firewall and see how you go

edit use the mcafee removal tool to remove mcafee, sorry should have said zip up the folder with the dump file

Here is the McAfee Removal Tool. McAfee is likely corrupted. If you want to continue using it you probably will be OK (until the next glitch) reinstalling it after testing.
