Microphone picking up line out and background noise.
I use skype to talk to a friend, and recently, her microphone has started transmitting a lot more background noise than normal. She uses a headset ( Razer Barracuda HP-1 ).

I can hear her voice at an appropriate volume, but I can also hear everything else at an even louder volume. I hear typing and mouse clicking at least as loud as her voice, and anything coming from her headset earphones, even when her earphones are set to the minimum volume so that its barely audible to her. She has mic boost on, and when she turns it off, she becomes nearly inaudible.

I suspect she has some sort of setting activated to record line out, or her mic has some sort of wide pickup.

What are some common reasons for this behavior?
