Bluetooth software licence
Each time I log on a message "Bluetooth software licence not found" appears. How do I repair / remove this message?

Hi freezone, and welcome to TSG.

The problem may be related to specific hardware or BIOS on your computer. Can you please provide the brand and model number of the computer, brand and model number of the adapter if you are using an add-on bluetooth adapter.

Also please let us know this has always been happening or if it just started up as a new problem. If it is a new problem, have you done any recent Windows Vista updates or installed any new hardware or software.

Hi cwwozniak,
Firstly thanks for the effort in replying to my problem. The problem started over the last two months and does not appear to be affecting the system; however must be an error somewhere. The computer is a Sony laptop VGN-FZ39VN. There have been a few Vista updates during the period before and after this started. The only devices are Bluetooth Radios on ALPS-UGPZ9-BCM2046 and are working properly. Hope you can advise, thanks again.

I did a Google search and could only find one page discussing your particular error message on a Sony Vaio computer.

Does the Windows Hardware Device Manager show any problems with the Bluetooth hardware?

No problems shown on Hardware Device Manager which says devices are working properly. It does not seem to effect the operating system in any way, it's just the annoyance of this message and the doubt as to whether or not a problem exists. I earlier tried a restore to a date before the first appearance of this message but with no success. Thanks for your efforts.

You might want to consider joining Sony's Vaio Support Forums and posting your annoyance in their Bluetooth forum:

I think I'll do that, probably wont solve the problem but if they confirm this is not a possible operating fault / error, I will have a little peace of mind.
