Hi
I have done malwarebytes scan and that was clean. Spyware Doctor found a virus, now deleted, called Trojan.Wsnpoem, haven't seen it before and I scan every week, my msconfig been gone for a while, so I will move on to other suggestions tomorrow.
Thanks.

I must admit that I had assumed that because msconfig.hlp exists on my XP PC that it exists on my Vista PC.

I apologize for my error.

Yes, cnkalways, keep us posted.

As I advised in post #8, no infection showing in a HijackThis log doesn't mean it's clean of infection.

I worked on 2 desktops on Saturday that showed cleaned logs, but scans with Malwarebyes Anti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware showed otherwise.

(Note: If you decide to use them, click the green icon at both sites to download them. Close all open windows, then install them and update their definition files. I can then give you instructions for using them and posting scan logs.)

And see my quote in #9.

Trying to re-enforce our point, f.
