Acer Extensa Startup Repair not working
My laptop lost power and Vista is not loading, "Windows Recovery Error"
prompted to use "start up repair" and get a msg as follows:"Startup repair can not repair this computer automatically". If you have recently attached a device to this computer such as a camera or portable music device remove and restart computer. If you continue to see this problem contact system administrator or manufacturer for assistance.
Clicked on "View Advanced Options for System Recovery and Support" and
tried system restore but got this msg " System Restore Failed Due to an Unspecified Error. Data Error (Cyclic Redundancy Check). (0x80070017).
My laptop came with no recovery disks and I do not want to loose all my data. Please help. What will happen if I overwrite "\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WINLOAD.EXE"?
