Arrow I know your all busy but i need Help!
Ok so i'm about too throw my Laptop out the window i have been working on it for a few days now, Just trying to get it too connect too my wireless router...Now i have 2 other laptops, An XP and a Vista, they 2 connect too it no problems but this one just throws a hissy fit, now i took it too a tech shop in my home town and the guy said that there was nothing wrong with it and showed me it connecting to his wireless internet. i have a NetGear Router DG834gt and its a Hi-Grade VA250p laptop, Now i have even tried updating the Drivers on my laptop yet still nothing, then i tried updating the Firmware for the Router but the latest Firmware they had was actually older than my firmware, Now i cant connect it too ethernet cos the Port is faulty.

So i cant just use it as a normal laptop/PC,

A little bit about when it first started being dodgy.

I downloaded an application called Hematchi....Tried unistalling it but windows said it could not fully uninstall Himatchi.

So... to try and solve that problem i did a full Recovery of Windows Vista and guess what...Still won't connect.

The guy in the shop told me all he needed to do was uninstall my wireless network card from network adapters and Restart the computer... But i have tried tht myself i can see my Network on the Connect To but whenever i type my WPA - PSK key in it says windows cannot connect too this network.

I know the WPA key is right because i know it off by heart had soo many comps too hook up b4, and none of them has had any issues b4.

Sorry if this looks really long i have tried to give u as much info as possible.

If u need any more info just ask.

Thank you

I would start with disableing the security on the router and see if you can connect then.

What firewall are you using?
