Did you create the UBCD?

Did you boot to it?

Take a look at these screen shots.
http://www.ubcd4win.com/screen.htm
Left click "start" button.
That will take you to a command prompt.

J:
If you were successful booting to the UBCD
start > command prompt
type: C:
press "enter"
type: chkdsk /r
press enter

When finished, reboot to your HDD, not the CD. One way would be for you to open the optical disk tray after the reboot process begins.

Download the .ISO file.

You will need software that can create an image. As previously noted, I don't know about using the product you mentioned on page 1.

James . . :
At which point are you stuck?

Were you able to down load the .ISO file?

After downloading it, open / run it [ generally by double left clicking ].

The image burning program you had mentioned on page 1 of this thread, hopefully will appear. Then, use it per the program's directions / instructions found in the manual or in the help file or using a tutorial such as this one http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tuto...torial114.html

That is one of the tutorials for the use of Image Burn.

Best of success.

James:
I recently became aware of this site.

It has information about accessing the recovery programs of multiple computer manufacturers.

There is also a link for information on burning an .ISO file.
