Urgh stupid windows photo gallery
Hey all,

I seem to have some problems with my windows photo gallery.. I'm not sure when it started, but noticed it today.

When I double clicked a .gif file it tried to open in fireworks cs3.. went to start > default programs and set the .gif extension to open in windows photo gallery.

The only thing that was different was it didn't show the WPG in the selection options so i went to program files > windows photo gallery and selected the exe file in there..

Now presumably thats why its opening up WPG as aposed to the larger version of the thumbnail.

Anyone know how I can find the correct part of WPG to open the gif files properly please?

hello

try this. find your gif you want to open. right click it and choose "open with".
If WPG is in the choices dont choose it.
choose (choose a default program) then choose WPG.
that way it will open all gif files.

hope this is what you wanted.
good luck

Do you want these gif to be displayed or do you wnat to be able to edit them?

To have them displayed, one MUST use a browser such as IE.
