Cant switch displays after vista reinstall
Firstly I apologise if this is in wrong area of forum. I've just done a reinstall of vista on my advent 5411 laptop. No real reason other than it running slow. We use the laptop a lot for streaming movies from a server upstairs to the laptop in question and view it using the hdmi socket on the laptop to view the image on a samsung lcd tv in the living room. until the reinstall everything worked perfectly but now when i connect everything up and use the Fn + F4 keys all i get is a blinking laptop screen everytime the keys are pressed. this is starting to really annoy me as i cant seem to find an answer on the internet. nothing else has changed with the set up from how it was previous.

Did you install the correct graphics drivers? Go to the Advent website and download and install the latest ones on there if you didn't do that.

Sounds like you need to go to the OEM of the laptop, web site and download and install a bunch of current drivers.
