Ready to scream!
Hello, again! HP Pavilion dv6000 running Windows Vista Ultimate. It is still occasionally freezing after having a hard drive replaced. As per HP support, I have run CHKDSK, Disk Cleanup, defragmented, updated NVIDIA nForce CHipset Driver, and finally today removed the battery, pressed the power button for 20 seconds, then replaced the battery. Since the battery was taken out, I am unable to print. It is saying that the Print Spooler is stopped. I've tried restarting it over and over, but still can't get the printer to work. I've tried to reinstall the printer using the disk that came with it, but two tries have gotten the same error message that says it can't complete the installation. I finally decided to just burn CD's with my documents and pictures and do a System Restore...BUT...the error message "Windows was unable to complete the format" keeps coming up after I've tried to format 3 different disks! Can anyone advise me on what to do now! I'm COMPLETELY frustrated!

Still haven't tried a System Restore. Today I tried to uninstall the printer in safemode, but got the message "Setup encountered an abnormal program execution". When trying to restart the spooler, I got Error 1068 The dependency service or group failed to start. When I clicked on dependencies, it said HTTP, Remote Procedure Call, DCOM Service Process Launcher. During another attempt I got 0x80070570 file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. When I restarted the computer the last time, a message said, "Run DLL error loading C:\Program Files (x86)\NOS\bin\getPlus_Helper.dll specified module cannot be found."

I guess ya'll know I'm still ready to scream! Can anyone enlighten me as to what in the heck is going on?
