Quick Question.
If I am using a recovery disc will I need a Vista disc aswell to reinstall the OS, or does the recovery disk leave the OS on but deletes all the files?

Thanks.

It been a long painful road lol. Basically, a few days ago, my browser began to slow down, and I mean really slow, it takes like 2-3 minutes to load a web page and I am having difficulty replying to this thread. I found viruses on my computer and removed them, I have used programs such as: ESET Smart Security, Webroot, Malbytes Anti-malware, Spybot, superantispyware and the list goes on. I am pretty sure that my computer is clean by now but I am still having problems with my browser, the rest of the computer is fine. So I figured the only thing to do Is just use a recovery disc.

Yes, I have also done that. It has improved it but my browser is still a little lazy when loading pages, it has got much better though. I only seem to be having trouble when watching YouTube videos at the moment, the picture will freeze for a second and then carry on, it does it like every two seconds and the overall FPS has been reduced. I don't think I have many options left, I don't really want to format my whole computer.

Edit: I think I may try a disk defrag. I will let you know if the performance of my computer gets any better.

No need. Everything went back to normal when I updated my antivirus definitions and removed a couple more Trojans. Thanks for your help.

The YouTube problem is solved but now the Internet Explorer problem has come back, webpages take at least 10 seconds to load, no big deal but they used to load instantly and its kind of bugging me. I have no viruses on my computer (at least I dont think so) and I have every Antivirus I have on my computer and they are all not detecting anything. I will just wait a see what happens for now, it could be something totally stupid.

Sorry, I mistyped my last reply, what I meant to say was I have used every Antivirus application that I have on my system, which are: Malwarebytes, SuperAntispyware and Webroot Antivirus and Antispyware. And I am only running one at one time which is Webroot.

My Internet Explorer was still slow before I installed Webroot. And Webroot has just found another virus: Troj/JavaDL-E.
