Solved: Computer randomly freezes completeley
Recently my computer has been crashing, Im pretty sure it isnt a virus because that was removed in this topic: http://forums.techguy.org/malware-removal-hijackthis-logs/897454-http-67-201-36-16-a.html#post7170178

Anyway for like a week now my computer has been freezing, sometimes on startup, sometimes when browsing the internet and having itunes on. Even the music freezes and it makes a irritating sound.

Make sure you've backed up your data!

I would still run a Malwarebytes and Spybot Search & Destroy just to make sure.

Also, you can check the Eventlog for Application and System to see if there's any traces there.

Also run sfc and chkdsk.

Hi you can find the info on your blue screen in c\windows\minidump, copy it to a folder call it minidmp or similar then right click on it and choose send to zip, next use the go advanced button then the paperclip icon to attach to your next post,it can be run through a debug by someone here to help track down what is causing your issue

Hi this is your first error
0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
(Click to consult the online MSDN article.)
Requested data was not in memory. An invalid system memory address was referenced. Defective memory (including main memory, L2 RAM cache, video RAM) or incompatible software (including remote control and antivirus software) might cause this Stop message, as may other hardware problems (e.g., incorrect SCSI termination or a flawed PCI card). Use the General Troubleshooting of STOP Messages checklist above

this is the second
0x000000BE: ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY
(Click to consult the online Win XP Resource Kit article.)
A driver attempted to write to read-only memory. Commonly occurs after installing a faulty device driver, system service, or firmware. If a driver file is named in the error message, try to correct the problem by disabling, removing, or rolling back the driver

Info found here http://aumha.org/a/stop.htm Iwill ask someone a bit more experienced with debugging to have a look and advise

Africa you may have a problem with your drive controllers. Are you using a "RAID" type configuration (I see a Raid driver in the loaded modules)?

Since this problem began fairly recently I would recommend trying a System Restore to a date AFTER the virus cleaning, but before the current problems.

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...ystem-restore/

If the problem continues after that, please remove all Virtualization software from the computer (Daemon Tools and whatever else you are using) and then post any new minidumps created after that.

If you are not using a RAID setup, try resetting your IDE controllers using the "step 1" link on the following page >>

http://winhlp.com/node/10

To do this correctly RIGHT click on the underlined "here" link and select "save target as" method of downloading. Download to the desktop (you should see a VBS file, not a text file) and then run it. Give it permission to complete if it is blocked by a security program. Note any response from the process and reboot and test.

I forgot to mention something, my Second harddrive has been getting these errors lateley saying it has errors. I clicked dont remind me again because I thought a virus caused it so I cant remember what the error was. My next move is to replace my hard drive. Do you think this could be the problem behind it all?
And I will check into my drivers tomorrow in the afternoon

It does look like a drive or drive controller issue. If a Raid configuration what happens depends on the exact type of RAID setup being used -- and I would not be the one best suited to help you with it. You may need to post in the hardware forum.

But you should test the IDE reset I linked you to above. I have not seen any issues with just trying it.

You can also manually verify the IDE setting by doing this >>

open the Device Manager (run devmgmt.msc) and select the entry for IDE ATA/Atapi and select the Primary IDE > Advanced Settings, does it say the "current transfer mode" is Ultra DMA or PIO?

If PIO, then the reset is applicable.

With the VB script I get this error "Cant find script engine "VBScript" for scrip "C:\Users\user\desktop\resetdma.vbs"."
And I went into device manager and clicked on the IDE ATA/Atapi branch but I dont know what to do from there

I ran my Vista Repair DVD and checked for startup problems. It told me the root cause was : BAD HARD DISK.

Edit: I just logged into my computer, and now my second hard drive (E:\) looks like this
