Blue Screen of Death After Installing Latest Driver
Hello,

I've got a Acer Aspire M1640, when i updated my Nvidia Geforce 9300GE driver as the driver i had was 2008.. i updated it to the 2010 driver. Then the computer was being really slow and the blue screen of death come up. I restarted and it was fine but slow, now everytime i shutdown the blue screen of death comes up saying something about a crash dump then restarts.

Can anyone help me?

Thank you
Mike

Can you post a few of your latest minidump files? They are located in C:\WINDOWS\Minidump. ZIP them and attach them to your next post.

Windows Vista

Right-click the minidump file, select Send To, then select Compressed (zipped) Folder.

Windows Vista will compress (zip) the file and save the new zipped file in the same location as the original file.

If you don't have permission to do it from the Minidump folder, right-click on a minidump file and select Send To > Desktop (create shortcut).

From the desktop, try zipping the file again.

If still no luck, disable the UAC.

Both minidump files show Pxhelp20.sys as the probable cause. It's a driver used by Sonic Solutions’ CD burning software.

I'm not sure it's even compatible with Vista. I read it was for Windows 2000/XP.

Pxhelp20.sys is known to be a driver for those programs too. Uninstall the one you have.
