File shredder suggestions please
Hi,

I can't get Eraser v6.0 or v5.7 to run correctly on Vista so I am looking for an alternative.

What's your favorite free file shredder.

Thanks

I use eraser on Vista just fine. What seems to be the issue?

With v6.0.7 it does not appear in the right-click menu for the Recycle bin or explorer. I have to run Eraser then select "Add New" then "New data" then click the Recyle Bin radio button. It will clean the bin and remove itself from the list. I have checked the Eraser forum and I am not alone with this issue so thought I'd see what else is out there.

With v5.7 it shows on the Right click menu, but when I click it, it says "Recycle bin is empty" even though it is not.

I have uninstalled them and reinstalled them. I have uninstalled the C++ runtime distro as suggested on the Eraser forum, but nothing works. I have wasted too much time if there is something that works, that's where I need to move to.
