System tray, bugged beyond belief.
Firstly, hi all.

Ok so after installing the FF14 open beta (official download) today my system tray is completely bugged. Iv checked through multiple tutorials and forum posts, but all of them seem to be about missing icons and general system tray errors. I have tried the reccomended solutions anyway just to be sure, but none seem to work.

Heres a screenshot of my error:

The most worrying thing is when i try to mouse over it, windows explorer crashes and restarts itself.
Sometimes the system tray is just not there... its like its been cut out from my taskbar.
The taskbar itself (start menu) works fine, as does the volume, clock and networking icons.
Tried restarting system, explorer.exe and registry edits (reverting to backups because it didnt work).
Tried loggin off technique and waiting for HD to subside workarounds.
My system is based on a virtual backup type scheme, however i am unable to revert to a 'safe point' for some reason.

Really annoyed by this. Have so much information (including ALOT of university work) on my PC, so a complete restore is undesirable.

Hope someone can help, and thanks to anyone that tries in advance!!

I mean final fantasy.

Sorry to be unclear, i meant as in i got it from the official source, rather than unofficial or potentially harmful sites.

1. No, havnt got any similar application or brico installed.

2. No. Modded my GPU shortly after buying the system, nothing since then.

3. Do you mean a system reinstall? As i said thats undesirable.

Try a System Restore to a previous date before this happened.
