Exclamation XP recovery not working!
Hello there! My brother and I own 3+ year old emachines computer running XP. We are wanting to wipe it clean and start anew. While I think I created the four recovery disks correctly, when I go to restore and I put the disk in it doesn't work. It asks for disk one which I then put in. Halfway through the first CD it just stops copying the files and asks me to insert disk one. I've done this over and over but it keeps stopping halfway through. I seems like a file or something is missing but the windows program used to make the disks was automated and I had no say in what was kept or left out. Any help out there?

What's the model name/model number of that eMachines?

What's the exact version of Windows that's on the Microsoft COA sticker?

It's my guess at this point that the recovery disc kit wasn't created correctly or the discs are scratched and damaged.
