Solved: Missing Offline Files tab in folder options
The offline files tab is missing from the folder options on XP on my desktop PC. (The other three tabs are present). This has not mattered in the past but I have now networked this to a laptop and want to share files and use syncronisation between the two machines. Any help would be much appreciated

Many thanks for the input and apologies for the duplicate post.
I have disabled Fast User Switching and applied the reg fix 273. Right hand side but neither has had any effect, I still dont have the offline files tab. (I did restart after these changes)
I read the allpostnews reference but none of the programs mentioned seem to be on my PC (ie Gpedit.msc or Gpupdate.exe). Any other thoughts much appreciated

Gpedit.msc (Group Policy Editor) isn't present in Windows XP Home. Only in XP Pro.

Windows XP Home Edition doesn't have the offline files feature. You need XP Pro for that feature.

Many thanks. I was looking through some old posts and wondered about that. My system is XP home edition version 2002 with service pack 3. To save me worrying about this does it mean that I can't use file syncronisation between my XP home edition desktop and my new laptop?
