Question Solved: HELP locating ethernet controller after reformat
I have a Dell Dimension E310 with a Pentium 4 using using XP and it went blue screen. At first it said I had no hard drive. So I had to reformat it to get XP to come back. When it did, seemed eveerything was ok but then on Device manager I have yellow question marks at ethernet controller, PCI Device, SM Bus Controller, and video controller. Does that mean I have no drivers for the motherboard? I have tried plugging back in and restarting and still no good. How can I get the drivers if I cannot connect to internet?

Welcome to TSG Flowerlady,

You will need to download them from Dell Drivers and Downloads.
This link is for the Dimension 3100/E310

http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19

It's important to install them in the following order making sure to reboot after each one.

1) Chipset
2) Video driver
3) Network
4) Audio

There are 6 different drivers listed under video. The correct video driver is the Intel-Driver

Help again please, I'm still having problems getting everything back on this computer. Now it's saying I need Adobe Flash player but when I try to download it, it says I need DDRAW.dll then it says entry point not found. How do I get the dll's to put Adobe Flash player back on.
