Where do you see those messages?

Try an FTP client. Security makes FTP hard to use in explorer/iexplore and a client is much easier. Or are you getting these errors in a command line?

Have you opened your firewall for FTP? Can you not find an HTTP source for your file?

A "system scan" with what?

Are you saying that you don't have any problems except that some scan says that you do?

Through the help and support from Dell that come preinstalled on my computer I have tried that command prompt all I know is that I worked with RoadRunner and they determined that there seems to be a problem involving DHCP Ftp, Http, Https, both active and passive thats about all I can tell you. I will try and send you a copy of the results of the scan

I was able to fix this myself by backing up my programs I'm now able to acces the internet on my laptop. You may want to use this info to help someone else with the same problem I had.
