long story short, i had XP on my satellite L25-s119 and the DVD drive didn't work, and i just got used to not being able to use it, then i decided i wanted windows 7, and after i installed windows 7, the DVD drive worked it was amazing being able to use it again, but my laptop decided it hated windows 7 and wanted to run slow as hell, so i went back to XP and now it doesn't work again -_- BUT i can boot windows XP from the installation disk, soo WTF, i cant seem to find drivers for it on Toshiba's website, and I've tried going into regedit and deleting the upper and lower filters, nothinggg workedddd, so i know the DVD drive workkss, but windows XP doesnt like it. please help meee, ive looked everywhere for a solution, i even tried microsofts fix it program, nothingggg has worked, please help meee.

Is the drive seen in Device Manager (under DVD/CD-ROM drives), if so, try right-clicking the drive and uninstalling it and then `Scan for hardware changes` and let it re-install itself ... that sometimes does the trick.
