Unhappy Solved: Autoplay prob
Hi Guys.....!

Long time.....hope all are well, and a HAPPY 4th of JULY to all of you !!!!

Got a lil prob here......when I place a game cd in the drawer......or any other kind of cd...(or DVD).....it will NOT load ! However if I open "My Computer" double click on the file in question to open it....then double click on "AUTOPLAY"......a black command screen called, C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\cmd.exe opens....along with the game screen. From there I can start, and PLAY the game...or etc....

For years now, this has never happend...so I don't know even where to start looking to solve it.
(obviously not....I'm a member of this site)...lol....I'VE TRIED........

Can someone here help me ???? I don't have a clue............

HAVE A SAFE 4th..............

Go into My Computer, right click the drive in question, select properties \ Autoplay set it to prompt you or select an app to start. Best to have it prompt you for what to do.

Hi Lance1,

Thanks for your prompt reply. I tried your suggestion on both drives, but with the same results.
Both drives run like a "scalded dog" but still will not load the cd.
Any more suggestions ?

Try TweakUI In TweakUI under My Computer \ Autoplay. There a number of option to try. Let us know how it goes.
