Solved: windows xp error 39
I'm getting the error message "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware the driver may be corrupted or missing. error 39. I have a lite-on cd burner and a BENQ DVD burner and neither is operable. A few days ago I tried installing easy cd copy, which was a mistake. I uninstalled it and everything was working fine until today.
I've tried the troubleshooter, uninstalled and reinstalled, uninstalled and rebooted, and still get the error message. I have the cd that came with the BENQ, but that doesn't do me any good without a drive.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
