YIKES! Did I mess up my Systems Folder? YIKES! Did I mess up my Systems Folder?
While trying to register for this Tech Support Guy Forum, I was trying to fill out the box that asked for my Computer Specs...so I found them by going to Start-->All Programs-->Accessories-->System Tools-->System Information....
There was quite a bit of information listed, and all of it looked important, so I tried to copy and paste it all the info into the box that asked for my Computer Specs...but it didn't allow me to copy the info. So, trying to save myself from having to type all of the info line by line, I went to "File" at the top of the Sytem Information window and clicked "Save" and I saved the file onto my desktop; the saved file type said: System Information File (*.NFO) .
Now I have a Systems Information icon on my desktop. I tried to stop the transfer process but it wouldn't let me... Did I move all the information to my desktop--rather than where it should be in the first place??
BTW-I have Windows XP Professional
Thanks for your help! |
