Open the MY COMPUTER main window, then right-click the C: drive, then click Properties.

What does the pie chart show in GB's for used space and free space and capacity?

-------------------------------------------------------

I strongly advise you to stay away from "cleaner/fixer" utilities before you trash your computer from using them.

Many of them will tell you that your computer has a lot of problems so they scare you into buying them.

If the capacity is 22 GB and there's a little over 9 GB of free space, that's normal.

Windows XP and all its associated programs and extras can easily consume 13 GB of space.

---------------------------------------------------------------

If you want to reclaim more space, do the following:

Right-click RECYCLE BIN, then click Properties.

Move the slider from its default value of 10% to 3%, then click Apply - OK.

Right-click MY COMPUTER, then click Properties - System Restore.

Move the slider from its default value of 12% to 3%, then click Apply - OK.

After you're done, restart the computer.

You could also spend less than $50 and get a larger hard drive.
