Nopdb.exe how do i.....
Set this this manual. I know it's part of Nortons speed disk and read that it is useless to have it start auto. because it can take up to 80% cpu. And i been having a problem with my computer ever since i downloaded norton system works. So can anyone tell me where i can find this so i can set it to manual.

Open Speed disk and go to View>Schedule Options and uncheck Enable Schedule.

Also go to start , control panel , administrative tools, settings , and scroll down to speed disk . Right click on it and select manual then stop and apply.

NOPDB.EXE Windows XP Speed Disk
I had troubles with my Norton Speed disk hanging up at Sorting or at 0% at moving. NOPDB.EXE was running at 98% plus other programs were running slow even if I was not running Speed Disk. I'm running Windows XP Pro. Looking at the Norton web site the only reference was a system works 2003 windows.log fix. That file does not exist in Windows XP. I have Norton System works 2008 and nothing showed for fixes. I asked norton speed disk to do a Analysis and found that the file Drwtsn.log was at 112,537 fragments. Every time a computer hicups this file is appended with new info. This computer is my weather station so it has been on 24/7 for several years and it FTP's info to my web site every 2 minutes so it takes a lot of hits. The fix was to delete the file but it is to big for the recycle bin. That means it is deleted but not removed. You have to run Windows Defrag and it will now be deleted. That one Drwatsn.log file was in fact 6GB large and scattered all over the hard drive. It was in Documents and settings / All Users / Application Data/ Microsoft / Dr Watson /Drwtsn32.log. The file will automatically be recreated if your computer has a trouble. Norton Speed disk runs quickly and completely without interfering with other programs plus my anti-virus and spyware sweep programs run faster.
