When I cannot log into the sever, I have been advised to diable the Browse Master and I noticed that there is just this LM announce thingy. What is it?

On my workstation the value of the LM Announce is 'No'

pls enlighten me. Thanks

Here's what I found:

LM Announce:
Specifies whether to use LAN Manager-style broadcasting. Click this machine if you have older LAN Manager-compatible servers on your network.

I guess it doesn't apply to me coz I think I have a newer NT server. So it OK that the Win98 station to put it off in the LN right?
