Go to Start/Settings/Control Panel/System

Choose the Advanced tab, then click on the Performance Settings button. Select the "Advanced " tab.

Then set the Processor Scheduling to optimize performance of Programs, and set Memory Usage to optimize performance of Programs.

See if that works.

Have you run chkdsk? I don't see how this would affect anything, but if you have a corrupted file system pretty much anything could be happening.

Which services are running at high priority?

Did you recently install some new software?

Have you scanned for spyware? Viruses, trojans, etc?

Are you yourself running as an administrator?

If you are changing the priorities, then something must be changing them back. This suggests malware or a hijack.

Yes i am administrator

I scanned used spybot. Nothing found. Scan for virus using avast latest definiton file . Nothing found.

The new software i installed is Avast Anitivirus. I try uninstalled it. But the services priority is still same

You need to post a hijack this log.

I am about to log off and am leaving on vacation. Might be here a short time tomorrow, might not. You'll get the fastest response posting in the security forum and referencing this thread.
