Windows XP runs super slow
My XP used to be pretty quick, i got 2gb of ram, 2.4 amd 64 bit cpu and 5 hard drives
i dont have any spyware or adware, since i check it every week with 3 diff programs

It boots very slowly and runs even slower since about 5 months ago. i dont see anything eating the memory or hogging the cpu. it shows the cpu isnt working hard at all on my cpu/mem meter. i tried to increase the page file to double the amount but nothing changed.

For some reason mem turbo is showing that i have no page file at all and 2gb of ram?!? why is that. is there some problem somewhere i am not seeing

Thanks Alex

Running any Norton Utilities? Tell us about your hardware, esepcially your power supply as I hope there is a good quality at least 550 for what you are running there.

Running 5 hard drives, which is a big drain, made me ask that question and the brand is as important as the wattage on this issue.
